When is the Best Time to Visit?
Discover how seasonal weather patterns influence wildlife concentrations, flamingo populations, and travel budgets across Northern Tanzania. Use the interactive selector below to compare seasonal tradeoffs.
July to October: Dry Season (Prime Game Viewing)
The dry season forces animals to congregate in high numbers along the Tarangire River and Silale Swamps—the only permanent water sources. Foliage is sparse, giving you unimpeded views of large lion prides, elephant herds, and plains game.
